Teacher & Mamma of Two
I was born and raised in Italy and moved to Melbourne in 2018.
I first found yoga in my early twenties, when I traveled to India in a bit of a spiritual quest. I flirted with the practice for years until, in 2017, I decided to go back to Rishikesh to deepen my studies and become a teacher.
The birth of my children brought a very different insight into my practice and teaching. Meeting what comes fully is one of the goals of Yoga and my experience of labour and birth was the epitome of that. I found myself opening up completely to that experience, with a desire to welcome the intensity of sensations - contractions they call them, but all I could feel was expansion. And so, I opened to the stretch of my body and mind, knowing each moment for what it was. That vision spiritually feeds my practice, teaching and mothering.

Absolutely love Alessia’s classes. I always feel so calm, relaxed and grounded. Each week I look forward to something new that is a mixture of simple and tough. Alessia has taught me the importance of mindfulness and creating awareness of the body not only in practise, but in everyday. Highly recommend her classes.”

Alessia's classes are always different and exciting but still balanced with traditional asana. She provides an opportunity to expand our practice by just allowing us to try advanced poses with encouragement We have a few laughs but work hard and that's what makes it fun."
